Dear SD43 Republicans:
The purpose of this correspondence is to provide you with a brief update on key dates and preparations for 2010, to share input from Precinct Chairs and Captains at recent Full Committee Meetings and to also share a couple of leadership lessons and Chair comments, as we prepare to participate in the 2010 elections.
Please Save These Key Dates for 2010 Election Cycle:
- SD43 Republican Caucus is Tuesday, February 2, 2010
- SD43 Republican Convention is Saturday, February 27, 2010
- Wayzata Central Middle School will be the site for both events
Process, Procedures & Preparations for our 2010 SD43 BPOU Caucus & Convention:
- Nominating Committee will Meet & Interview All Candidates Seeking Endorsement
during the 12-9-09, 12-10-09, and Friday 12-11-09 time period
- Caucus/Convention Committee will be putting together BPOU Caucus Packets
on Saturday 12-12-09
- Postcard invitations to Caucus will be mailed early in January 2010
Key issues to “R”s Winning in 2010 from SD43 Precinct Chairs and Captains:
Fiscal Responsibility, Party Unity, Quality Candidates, Differentiation, Message, Money/Funding, Posse/People, Verbal Acuity and Verbal Response (quick think responses that diffuse opponents misstatements, half truths, or lies).
Leadership Lessons and Chair Comments shared at the Full Committee Meetings:
“Really, it’s not about me … or you; ….. it’s about our customer”
“Republicans in our Senate District and the western suburbs are our customers;
Republican Candidates Winning Elections is the mission of SD43; our success will
